  • French hostage rescue

    https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v...440013&fref=nf

I generally don't second guess police or military performing a mission, but in the case of the French it's too easy and fun not to do it.

In the video linked to above, The French HRT is in a stack outside the door and one of them runs in alone. It looks like he then almost immediately runs back out before the rest of his team finally goes in. It might be that the HRT entry man chased the hostage taker out the front door and into a hail of fire though.

I'm sure they had a good reason to send one man in alone (I can think of several), but my first thought was, "Only the French could start an assault with a retreat".

    Re: French hostage rescue

The comment I'll make is that one needs to remember that the terrorists involved were "French" also.

That may or may not have had any consequence regarding their Religion or their seeking Martyrdom, but it probably did on their ability to react promptly to much of anything.

    I said it before....

"Oh, my goodness, Muhammed! Listen to all the noise! I must put down my Galouse in the ashtray and pick up my rifle. It would appear that les Flics are coming in here, and I need to go see what they want."

Looks like the video temporarily cuts out when the entry guy is coming back out and someone shoves a pistol upside his helmet.

The rest of those clowns, they think their hazing ceremonies and bullshit costumes make themselves warriors.
