This year and last, I didn't use any. My leafy veggys were blasted by the local insects. I'm uneasy about using the gardening pesticides.

Hundreds of Indian farmers use Pepsi and Coca-Cola to spray their crops as it is 10 times cheaper than buying pesticides and is believed to be good at protecting crops from insects.
Interestingly, Pepsi and Coca-Cola both deny using their products as pesticides because they claim there is nothing in their drinks that can be used to control pests.
