  • ATTN combat medics

I was watching a zombie movie and it sparked a question.

Lets just call it a "normal person" 5-6 to 6 foot 180 to 200Lb male.

How many liters of blood loss can happen before a person with an injury (lets say upper or lower leg, so mobility can still be had) just doesn't have then energy to get away, move, crawl, etc from a dangerous area?

It will depend on the person, their state of health before the injury, and their mental motivation. I would suggest that the loss of 2 liters (4 units more or less) would be a very good start of that process for most people. Put another way that would be a 40% loss, or slightly more in most females.

I have but one person on my ignore list. Can you guess who it is?
