  • Motorola T7200s

I'm looking into getting new radio gear for hiking and camping and am looking at the Motorola T7200s. How are these units for reliability and ruggedness? Will they hold up in adverse conditions? And is there a better or economical model in the Motorola lines?

    Thanx in advance.

There are plenty of cheaper models in the Motorola product lines, but the T7200 is pretty much the King Kahuna of the GMRS/FRS combos. I highly reccomend them even if you don't buy from me.

They are pretty good. Short of a military grade (and expensive) Icom, they are fine hardware.
