SO..
I was browsing through the CS selections and found this one.. THE BLACK BEAR BOWIE.
https://www.knifecenter.com/item/CS9...-cor-ex-sheath
Figured what the heck and sent off for it. It came with a sheath that is cheap but works and is ambi in use.
The blade came fairly sharp but could use work.
SO
I grabbed my sticks and started doing some work. In ten minutes I had a big blade that is shaving sharp... and I mean it. The edge is awesome, and that includes the false edge on top which is no longer false.
So I walked out back and did some swinging on various parts of trees dead and living and then checked the blade again. Still sharp but a little touch up wouldn't hurt. It swings fairly well, better than you think it would.
The grip is a little small for me BUT, I can build it out with my paracord once I get how I can hold it to the sheath worked out since the strap goes around the handle instead of over the hilt.
The blade and grip are all in proper alignment and quite honestly for the price you will not beat it anywhere.
All in all you could probably do pretty good gutting an elephant or a Sasquatch in an emergency.
It is a BIG blade but a good one for the bucks.
