Should they be turned off or left on?
Recently I posted another thread about having connectivity issues, where my internet would drop for a second and then return. This was playing having with the online cycling training program I run. I just heard back from the people who run the program and they told me to make sure that if I had VPN or proxy, that is was turned off, as it can block connection to their servers.
In Firefox, I went to Tools> Options> Advanced> Network ... then clicked the Settings tab next to Connection.
There are options for:
When I first went there my laptop was set to "Use system proxy settings." Should I choose "No proxy," or do as another web site suggests, go with Auto-detect?
