That was just your bad luck. I have three years on a 500GB Samsung EVO regularly maintained in this Lenovo T520, backed up with a 500GB spinner drive in the DVD drive location. I have another in a Lenovo T500 @ 250GB for nearly two years.

Both were very high-end systems in their day and I don't expect any SSD failures any time soon. But, if that day comes I have triple backups of all five systems updated regularly on a 3TB spinner drive

    Don't buy cheap SSD's.

On the win10 side download the disk image from MS and create an install thumb drive. Download and install the drivers from the manufactures site. Done.

Thank you sir that does help As of now I will either keep her HD or still keep her HD but try the SSHD and if that does not work...simply put her old one back.

started a topic Will I lose the touch screen

Will I lose the touch screen

If I replace the HD in the Hippy's laptop with a faster SSHD and do new install of Fedora 27 and windows 10 Will she lose the touch screen? She likes the touch screen and I lost the HP recovery capacity when I put Fedora on the old disk.. Now her touch screen works and she will get mad at me if she loses it. ( I know we can tell guys to go to blazes but not our ladies)
Working...
