    LOCKED OUT !

    I'm trying to change my password, and it asks for the last name of the person above the quote on the Splash Screen... When I click on "Home", it shows a quote from Thomas Kempis, but the screen keeps saying that's incorrect. I clicked on EVERY name on the "contact us" page and EVERY ONE produced this message: "Page doesn't exist .. etc".. HELP!!! I've been on here for 17 years, and I really don't want to start over!!

    I need to know what email address you show for me
    I need to know current password

      Join the club, glad it wasn't just me. I had to do a bunch of windows things to get reconnected to the internet. I could see posts here but not respond and it took me a couple days to fix the computer, still isn't right.

      You can E-mail the guys and let them know what happened, I was about to do that but stumbled on the answers.

      I had to do a system restore on the computer to undo something windows did. I kept getting invalid IP addresses and couldn't get wireless to work. I had to hard connect the computer and then ask MicroStink to help.

      Hope you have better luck with computers than I do.

        Windows would not change your connection settings to access the internet.

        If the box under connection properties labeled "Use a proxy to connect to the internet" (or similar verbiage) was checked, that will stop the connection in its tracks if there is no proxy set up for doing so.

        I've seen it many times, but each time it was caused by malware, a virus, or a trojan that was inadvertently downloaded by the owner while downloading some miracle fix-it or 'free' diagnostic program.

          Came back after some years, & my profile was gone; but, I didn't get locked out.

            Mornin fellas and Merry Christmas! Bigger-- the name you want is Kemper from Thomas Kemper. That's it bunky.

            I've been here 9yr and am trying to finger out this new Dell lt. But here's where it gets Twilight Zone-ish! Since day1 responses have been reversed. Right now it's 1 through 5 from the top down.

            It's a dang miracle!!

              As in Windows 7 HW?

              I have some unkind words 4 the douche bag Bill Gates. When he pulled Windows7 out of the mix my old Gateway has been giving me a conniption fit around 21 days. That's why I mostly been gonezo from here.

                You were right on the money HW. That and I finally found the right wire thanks to my sisters son who is 27 and grew up with computers.
