Generally it was happy and very popular, except for the looney-left wing media giving equal coverage to protests.....
Despite 80% of people wanting to keep Aus Day public holiday (26th Jan, - day Govenor Phillip raised the flag at Sydney Cove in 1788) -
But a small vocal minority of indigenous-based/supporter riff-raff want it changed to the 25th as they call 26th " invasion day".
Their reasoning is that their very distant relatives lived in noble savagery & a bucolic Nivana - until the arrival of those evil colonists.
[ Patently un-true - but as always fantasically attractive to victimhood world-wide.]There is no Spring without Winter, without Mistakes there is no Learning. There is no Life without Death, without Doubts there is no Faith. There is no Peace without War, without Fear there is no Courage. For without Mistakes, Doubts and Fears there are no pathways to Wisdom.
