Short barrels especially. Am I wrong think that a faster burning powder should do bettter in barrels under three inches? Normally I like Power Pistol for my "bear killer" loads but I can imagine the flash and blast being pretty rude when used in a snubbie.

I like AA #7...but then I use it for almost anything under .40 cal. I haven't worked up a good .38 special load with it, but it is my favorite for .38 Super. I had a Ruger Security Six with a 2 3/4" barrel for a short time and it loved the #7. I really wish I'd worked with the round/gun more before I parted with it. I will do that in the future since I still have a Taurus M85 to load for.
