California Ammo laws in effect 2019

I have family and friends in the pink state and I know there are new restrictions and background checks taking place in California in 2019. This is a good resource that goes over the new regulations. Please note none of this will stop crime and it will be a crime to be in possession of ammo that wasn't properly reported. Supposedly to stop people from taking a road trip and purchasing out of state and bringing it into the state.

This impacts all firearms owners and as you have guessed criminals won't be registering or going through the process of reporting what they have stolen or illegally imported.
