  • Need opinion on Federal XM 193 5.56 ammo

Thinking of updating my 5.56 stash, I have the opportunity to buy two 840 round case made 2011 at a decent, if not great price. Is this the stuff that was bad about popping primers the last couple years?

Never had an issue with it & it's great brass to reload.

The IMI M193 Widener's has (or had - haven't looked in a while) is very similar in performance. It chrono's a tiny bit slower (maybe 25 fps) but I get the same accuracy & point of impact with it for less $.

But it is FMJ - you won't get V-Max type accuracy out of it - but that can be said for any FMJ.

Buy it now if you can find it. Two months ago, the Federal XM 193 (420 Round can) sold for $169 a can, then it went up to $189 and now it is
$219 a can at Cheaper than Dirt! Anyone know why it is getting so expensive and hard to find?
