Anyone use any of these? If so what do you think of the quality, etc? I need to buy some hollowpoint 9mm for my Beretta Storm Carbine, want at least 500 rounds. hoping to find something suitable without having to spend $30 or better per 50 rounds. Prefer 124 gr bullets.

Re: Fiocchi, Sellier & Bellot, Privi Partisan 9mm ammo
Yes. I love S&B 124gr FMJ 9mm. Loaded to NATO German standards (whatever those are). Hotter the US produced ammo in all calibers. I have 1K rounds stocked up.
I have a very limited factory modified Walther PP that was made for the Danes. It will not function with anything but S&B Or Fiocchi or a +P American made load.
It's a little dirty, but it functions very well.Peace Through Strength, Victory Through Devastation...Strategic Air Command

Re: Fiocchi, Sellier & Bellot, Privi Partisan 9mm ammo
Fiocchi and Privi have worked fine for me, although the Fiocchi has usually been overpriced.
I can't recall shooting any S&B 9x19, so I can't speak to that directly, but my experience with other S&B ammo has been that it's adequate. I'm not terribly fond of their brass for reloading, but the loaded ammo typically goes "bang" every time.
FWIW, I've shot a couple cases of their 7.62x25, and it always was a bit underpowered, compared to surplus. That doesn't mean that their 9x19 is, though.

I've located Fiocchi 124gr loaded with Hornady XTP JHP bullets using Starline brass for $16 per 50 rounds. At that price I can afford to stock up a few hundred for future reference, but only if the stuff is good ammo. I can't afford the buck per cartridge most of the name brand stuff commands."some people never let their given word interfere if something they want comes along"

That is name-brand ammo. Just not in this country.Peace Through Strength, Victory Through Devastation...Strategic Air Command

Re: Fiocchi, Sellier & Bellot, Privi Partisan 9mm ammo
I shot a box of Fiocchi but don't remember anything special about it - must have been ok. I've shot a bunch of S&B in 9mm & other calibers & used to like it a lot. It was always really good & was always cheaper than a lot of others. Seems to be priced the same as anything else lately so I stick with US brands. I never chrono'ed any but it felt a little hotter than UMC or WWB - like it was loaded to 9x19 NATO spec. They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

-- Benjamin Franklin

My preference in 9mm has always been 124gr bullets. Never liked the 147's from a pistol-too slow for my taste. My first choice is Speer Gold Dot 124's, just can't see spending near $1.00 per to get more."some people never let their given word interfere if something they want comes along"

You want hot? Try some Geco (German or Austrian, IIRC) 124gr. Midway sold it about 10 years ago, and it beat the snots out of my alloy-framed gun!Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean that they're not out to get you!

I had some of that in 9mm Police when I had a couple of Walther PP Supers. Good stuff! And hot!Peace Through Strength, Victory Through Devastation...Strategic Air Command

Re: Fiocchi, Sellier & Bellot, Privi Partisan 9mm ammo
I bought a bocx of the Fiocchi 124 gr jhp locally the other day, was surprised that it only chrono'd 1038 average from my Glocks. Speer Gold factory stuff will go over 1125 for standard and break 1200 for plus P."some people never let their given word interfere if something they want comes along"

That's a lot lower than the 1280 they advertise.
The 124gr FMJ is supposed to do 1250 from a 5" barrel. I've never used the HP.
I think the S&B might come closer to published figures.Peace Through Strength, Victory Through Devastation...Strategic Air Command
