A few ammo companies are venturing forward with producing obsolete ammo..ie...prvi in 8mm Lebel. I shoot it in my 1890 Berthier 8mm Lebel.
Well, we all know ammo made now is more powerful, per se, than that made around WWI or so.
Soooooo.....they should be compensating for that. Right?
Cut to the chase. 6.5 Carcano ammo was used in WWI and was suitable for the rifles then. Including rifles converted from Black Powder to shoot the smokeless 6.5. It was safe then.
Is it safe now?
