  • CZECH 7.62x39 TARGET AMMO

    Gentlemen,
Does anybody know what the scoop is on the Czech ComBloc target ammo in 7.62x39? Ammoman has it VERY attractively priced, and I am wondering if it has mercuric primers?(80s manufacture) On a side note, I read on a posted thread that the Indian .308 was MG ammo, and was loaded on the warm side. Anybody know? Thanks,

if you mean the RN stuff w/white tip , its target ammo but not like you may think . it's ment for SHORT-RANGE practice in urban areas .

somewhere back a ways in this forum i gave the ballistics . still no chrono data from anyone but it would have to do 3000fps MV to operate a VZ-58 because the bullet is only a heavy-jacket (~46/48 grains) with a base closier-cup , no core . it appears to be made from a 762x25 bullet . by 200M the velocity has droped off , down to the low teens . @25M it'll raise a he!! of a welt on the back of an old rusty 3/8" boiler plate .

the only function test i've read showed it working well in SKSs' but not great in AKs' with lots of failer-to-feeds .

it is corrosive primed with potassium or sodium salts . about time they started DISCOUNTING this stuff . its worth it to have some now .
