• S&B 20 GA. FIELD LOADS CORROSIVE?

I've been shooting S&B 7 1/2 shot in my Saiga 20 ga.,I put it back in th truck last week ,got it out today to field strip it and it had rust on the gas piston, chamber, and the threads on the gas regulator plug. The plug was kind of hard to get out.I checked my Rem. 12 ga 11-87 and it had some rust in the chamber and around the gas ports on the barrel.I shot S&B's in it dove season.I've never heard of new production corrosive shotgun ammo.Anyone else had this to happen?

I've never seen any Sellier & Bellot ammo to be corrosive.
If at first you don\'t succeed, skydiving isn\'t for you!

I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me saying \"You\'re next\". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals.

No, the S&B is not corrosive. Methink that you put the gun back up while it was still hot during the day and then it cooled down qutie a bit that eeening and night casusing the problem that you are talking about having at the prresent time.
