  • got 8mm Romanian in a can ? heres the chrono .

not good but , still shootable . from plain cardboard-folded boxes . 22 over 77 headstamp on gayish-green steel cases w/red primer/bullet sealer . bullet is 1.245" long .323"dia. exactly . the only diff in shape between this and a 198grn sS LeadCore bullet is that the bearing surface and boat tail are stubbier . there is little lead in this bullet , the core almost entirly steel and jacket also (sinterd iron they say) so sp.grv. about 8.4 .

    G1 B.C. = @3000fps .424 , @2500 .405 , @2000fps .397 , 1150fps .262 , 1000fps .458

    G7 B.C. = @2500fps .204

no doubt aboutit , corrosivly primed .

a perfect sky for the chrono , highaltitude thin-even overcast .

    24"B , 65deg.F. , 10shots .
    AVE. 2461fps
    HIGH 2579
    LOW ,2143
    E.S. 436fps
    S.D. 121

    2472 , 2497 , 2490 , 2143 , 2403 , 2519 , 2460 , 2523 , 2579 , 2530

not so bad looking at it from the 10shot string . no trouble at all hitting the 2'square steelsheets once i found the holdover .

this bullet could be loaded up to around 2800/2900fps ya know ... very nice , uniform , bullets .
    **********************************

the powder has names i cant repeat here . 2 days of wiping 3/4 times dayly with #9 and the BLACK CRUD is still coming out along with the darkest GREEN i've ever seen . i only fired 15 shots of this and the barrel was stripped-clean beforehand .

    yukk eee .
