CHINA SPORTS box , 122grn Soft Points .
the bullets are a little different ,6s tangent ogive , .870" LOA , .313"dia. ahead of the crimp .310" shank , verysmall exposedlead tip - like a tiny biscuit - NOT the lipstick size SP . enclosed base , G6 BC# .140
the performance is the same as the BB Barnaul 123grn SP , ie ,
@50M complete total OVEREXPANSION down to the base with some lead still there , not penetrating straight through 4 water jugs missing the 4th except some fragments .
RW = 53.4grns
RF DIA= .660" x .700" (jacket petals - 3 )
R LOA= .207"(base to front , not counting jacket peeledback)
@100M , just tip flattening through 4 . i forgot my 'simulated' shoulder blade but im sure it would have had the same results as the BB Barnaul previously tested.
not recoverd , as per-entrance holes in jugs .
so far , these steeljacketed softpoints are showing the same overexpansion-or-nothing terminal performance . i wouldnt take a shot at a deer at more than 50M with 16"B or 75M with a 20"B with these . none of the Remington , Winchester , Lapua and PMC softpoint bullets act like this .
on average 120 fps slower than the BBB from the same 20.5" barrel . 68DEG.F. , @15ft. , 10shots
AVE. , 2323fps
HIGH , 2355
LOW , 2306
E.S. , , 49
S.D. , , 15 ( the chrono likes it !)
overall good performance on the accuracy side , 7/10 went into about 2.2" x 3.5" @100M and shot to almost the same POA/POI as the Chinese its sited for (a little left). feed and functioned without a hitch .
