sorry , these arnt the rounds everyone seems to be asking about lately but , might save you from buying this OVER THE HILL Chinese if you run into some .

9mm Bulgy Mak , 10shots each , @ 5ft. , 80F.

this is the last of a 2100rnd case bought ages ago . its not the ammo it used to be but is still ok .

again , old ammo from ages ago . the first non-import non-FMJ 9mmMak ammo available (in 25rnd boxes). its seen better days for sure . my fingers got black from loading it in the mags . without the one low velocity EX.SPR. was 83fps

now thats more like it . thats about what the Chinese 71-'93 USED TO be . no trouble at all plinking little broken bits of clay pigeion off the backstop @25M with this stuff .

i dont want HP 9mmMak ammo except for varmits and would rather use ball for S/D .

Anyhow, I plan on firing a few over my Chrono this week if I don't forget.

Barnaul is (was) cheap enough to fire and carry HP.

I was popping a steel plate at 140 yards pretty often at my range without much holdover this past week using 95 gr. Barnaul HP.
The misses were close enough to make the bad guy dance...LOL.

i suspect the lower velocity thing is somewhat an artifact of this particular bulgMak and not entirly the ammo .

since i think of the 9mmMak as a low-recoil , 000-BK shotgun shell holder you fire 1P at a time through (that you can keep in a pocket!) , i dont care about hot . just ultra reliability and consistancy with close to nominal velocity . 19" of jello penetration or 25" ??? dont matter . as the dog is going for my leg or arm , either will do the job .

i know what you mean about shooting stuff a-way off - LOL - those that dont always get that yahbuddy look when i say something like that , like , plinking the 200M pistol ram and hitting it numerous times , with " that little cheap russian saturdaynight special" . its difficult for non-hardcore pistol shooters to believe , based on THEIR experiance . (think i hit the pole it was mounted on most of the time [img]redface.gif[/img] tho )

i used to take a S&W .38 ChiefSpecial w/wadcutters squirrel hunting . wanna really pi$$ off your Boss ? get more squirrels than him and his Antsyswitch after being chided for not comeing properly equipped

always like to see chrono data for what i dont got (yet)
