check out http://www.kieslersonline.com for the best price I've ever seen for Fed GMM 168. They have issues shipping to certain states, check it out with them first. I've never dealt with them myself, have seen good reviews.

I tried the 168gr Federal Match and it doesn't do the trick. It jams up after 2/3 rounds. I think I need ammo with a harder casing. I was wondering if there is a ammo company out there that specializes in AR ammo in 308.

black hills ? I didn't have problems with either Fed or BH, although I ain't rich enough to feed either through my AR-10 consistently. Kieslers has BH, for less than gun shop prices. You also might try sampling quality surplus. I find, in ascending order of accuracy, S.African, Radway, IMI, Australian. These are the non-steel-jacketed-bullet rounds. In the steel jacketed realm, German DAG, Hirtenberger. (Never tried Port, Malay, Cavim.) I can get comfortably inside a MOA with a 10x42 scope at 100 yds with Aussie (consistently, the others always have fliers even when I know I didn't mess up), which is good enough for my hobby purposes... I know there will be those who will say, if you buy a high-quality gun, don't shoot crap out of it, but they're not buying me ammo, I have a plan(...) for preserving my expensive bores, and so this works for me.

What gr are you shooting with these different brands?

lower, they're all around 147. Yes, I'm sure the ballistics will suffer compared to 168. I shoot at paper, and don't have oppty to go over 200 yds (600 when I get my butt to a highpower match). If you need it for something more real, then I'm sure it's a consideration.

I tried some of the Black Hills Match in my M21 clone. It shot .75 MOA out to 300m. That was as far as I shot it. It's pretty pricey, but real accurate. It took me almost 2 months to duplicate it by reloading.

Now, for serious plinkin'[if there is such a thing] go for G308M from Georgia Arms in their Canned Heat section. Don't forget the G308B, it might suprise you. http://www.georgia-arms.com
Sunday i tryed some SA surplus in my 10T. Shooting prone from a bipod at 725 yards i hit my 12"x24" plate 26 times out of 40 rounds. I wasn't haveing a good day myself so i think it'll do better. I'm thinking that at $180 for 1000 rounds i might have to rat some of this stuff away. Has anyone tryed the surplus from India? I can get it for $145 for 1280?
I bought 1000 rounds of Portugese Nato ammo. It works fine with my G3 but the primer is to hard for my George Gardner semi-auto. I noticed that the Winchester does the trick for it.
I guess all the guys who recommended to test, test, and test were right.

the Aussie surplus is the best I've found so far. Copper-jacketed rounds (your stainless bore will love you more), consistently accurate, and $130 for 800 rds. It's worth it. And none of the crap people have reported with the Indian stuff around here.
Enjoy your 10.
BTW, the aussie was way more accurate in my 10T than SA.

bxn, isn't the SA copper jacketed?? I was told it was. I don't want to shoot any copper washed ammo in it!! I checked it with a magnet and was sure it was ok.

yes, sorry if I gave the impression it wasn't. I've found SA, IMI, Radway and Aussie are copper-jacketed, while Hirts, DAG and Port make friends with magnets. Seen here that not all Radway is nonmagnetic, never seen it myself (but my sample size is small).
