  • Need Help Finding Olde Tyme Scope Mount ;)

    Hi everybody!
Looking for a vintage/obsolete scope mount for an old Remington Model 550-1 .22 semi-auto rifle. They were the "side-mount' type held on with 4 screws. I've seen plenty that take the 3/4 inch, toy IMHO, scope. Those were numbered N2, N3, N4, etc.
I'm looking for one that will take a one inch scope. I have a nice older Weaver K-4 that would look retro cool on the rifle. I wont feel like I'm sighting down a straw.
If necessary I'd consider one that was butt-ugly. So long as it was straight and true. Refinishing it would be no problemo.
    Thank you for your time.

    Good luck with that!

I've got a few of the old Redfield and Weaver 3/4" side plate mounts and I can't recall seeing any 1" types at the local gun shows. I have a 510...my very first rifle! I own a bunch of old Remington's right up to the 40-X and XB, but no 550.

Weaver does still manufacture a side mount base setup, but I have no idea if it could be adapted to fit your 550.

      Try Gun parts corp
      Or Springfield sporters
      Both are on the net.
