Looks uncomfortable as all get out!

But I was kind of impressed how well the little girl in the video managed it, though, so I may be wrong. But it looks kind of like trying to hold a paperback book or something. Doesn't seem very ergonomic.

My thought was the same, in that it looks clumsy as all get out. But one never knows until one has handled one. It might work just fine.

        It's sure different, anyway.

A lot of my reaction would depend on the pricing, which I didn't manage to find anywhere. If it's reasonably priced for a .22 handgun, I might be inclined to try one out, just because I can. If it's running in the same price range as a 1911 or some such? Not much chance of selling me one at those prices, regardless of how neat it might be.

It's a flipping .22 for Heaven's sake, and I've got lots of those already.

I held one of these Zip guns a few weeks ago. A LGS nearby has one for sale. They are rather spendy actually. I don't recall the price but when I asked what the price was my first response was you gotta be kiddin' RIGHT?!?

I wanna say I could get a Bersa Thunder w/built in laser+a few hundred rounds+a new holster for the same money but that might be pushing
          the truth some.

They ain't el cheapo that I DO know.

Re: Anybody ever tried one of these?

OK the Zip gun I looked at was the bare bones pistol model. The Zip gun pictured at Gun Broker is the Class III FA version with stock making it basically an SBR. An SBR like this would be illegal for me where I live. I would hazard a guess that whoever is willing to let it go for under $200 paid considerably more for it originally and just wants out from under his nightmare.

              YMMV.

For $179, I've had a few of those "nightmare" things already. I can generally get most all of my money back by re-selling them.

Be it noted, I am not going to tell someone that they work as advertised if they don't. Be that as it may, I've actually made a fair profit on a couple of relative piles of crap, when I said "They don't work right. If you know some trick to fix it, buy this, otherwise don't."

If I told them it didn't work, they can't cry to me for selling it to them and finding out that it doesn't, right?

Well Jefferson101 I like the way you think and appreciate the fact you seem to be a square shooter and TBT the honest few that are running around these days seem to be a dying breed.

I am extremely curious where you saw one of these puppies for $179??? Was that the true out the door price including tax/shipping/FFL transfer?

I am more in the neighborhood of buying a Bersa Thunder with a red/green dot rig+2 or 3 15Rounders and a new holster. If I were to get this gun it would be a real improvement over my current concealed weapon.

Re: Anybody ever tried one of these?

I saw a pic of one stuck on a bottom rail of an AR. Kind of neat in that application.

I wonder if you put that on an already registered SBR, would it be good to go? Putting it on a regular AR would make it an SBR since you'd technically be adding a stock to it.

Re: Anybody ever tried one of these?

                      Here's a little review I came across:

                      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFepGqERdY0

Having something pocket sized that you can stick a 25rd mag on is a nifty idea but this thing seems a little cheap to me. The one in the video is the first version though so perhaps they made some improvements with the new models.

Saw them at the last gun show...........was not impressed, just another waste of money.

                          These things are $200.
They are uncomfortable unless you hold it just right where your middle ginger is pulling the trigger, but that places your index finger right over the ejection port, covering it BTW.

Yesterday or day before on another place a guy had these for $122 each. As a gesture of good will I kept my mouth shut and my fingers from typing a response.

Someone else said these guns are crap. Or to put it slightly differently these space age lookin' things are just the latest snake oil gadget. Not even at $122 are they a good deal in my book.
