  • .327 Federal Magnum

I know darn little about it save that it exists and a couple of manufacturers make one. Anyone here have any experience with them?

The .327 Federal Magnum is a lengthened .32 H&R Magnum, which in turn is a lengthened .32 S&W Long. I own a .32 H&R Magnum pistol, and they all can use the same bullet if reloading. Theoretically you can shoot .32 S&W Long and .32 H&R Magnum in a .327 Federal with no issues (not the other way around however). And around here, .32 S&W Long is much easier to find than either 'magnum' rounds.

Great ballistics. They really benefit from barrels in the 3-5 inch length for the sweet spot, and would be awesome in a longer barrel trail gun(Revolver, carbine etc).
Amazed that it's not more common, both available guns, and ammo
