  • Bersa Thunder Pro 9mm

I know we have some fans of Argentine guns here on the Web. Any experience with the Bersa Thunder Pro 9mm or Thunder Pro XT 9mm? I like the looks of it.

Looks like some interesting features..I handled and shot some of their compact/pocket pistols (.380's and 9x19s)and thought " Not bad at all for the money. Pity they're not doing service/target sizes with metal frames". Apparently they are now. I will have to try one.

I have one of the Thunder 45 pistols. So far it's been reliable with the hollow points I fed it. It's usually my travel piece. It's strange as the 45 version is a double stack magazine only holding 7 rounds.

The Thunder Pro pistols have been out a long time now (over 10 years), but the Pro XT is only a couple years old. It has a longer barrel and is tuned for competition shooting, hence the price. The regular models are pretty cheap, figure around $400 out the door.

The financial thing is nice. You can probably come home with one at around S400, on Gunrboker, and they do look nice. OTOH there are some other choices out there at that price. If I'm going to go with an Europellet 9mm, I'm probably going to go with a BHP.

I've got a lot of BHP clones. I done got three or four of the plastic fantastic stuff.. They ain't as good as the originals, but they are close enough to work for me.

          Just saying.

The regular Thunder Pro models, yeah around $350-$400, but the cheapest XT model that I've seen was $650.
