  • I want ALL the 10mm's !

II have 4 10mm Pistols. I have a Mechtech 10mm CCU so I can turn one of my 10mm 1911's into a carbine. I have a 10mm TNW Aero Survival carbine in 10mm. I just bought me this Ruger Super Redhawk 1omm revolver, and I love them ALL.

Very first six shots through it, flyer was MY fault.

I've got about four 1911's in 10mm, and a couple of EAA's and a double stack Rock Island. I like the round.

It's not for folks with wimpy wrists, but if you can shoot a .357mag accurately, you can shoot a 10mm.

Good stuff. It's not quite going to get me to give up .45ACP, but it's a legitimate alternative if I just want something hot and fast with a bit more reach.

I didn't know they made a Revolver in it. I need to look at that one.

How's the Mec-Tech? I've been thinking of buying one for years, albeit for a Glock .45 frame. I'm not a 10mm guy, just never really saw the point. Although 9mm Dillon would be tempting if I reloaded. If I reloaded and had a 10mm Glock 20, I'd probably have to try 9mm Dillon out, 125 grains at nearly 1600 fps....

125g at 1600, or 180g at 1300. Either one is going to make a decent hole. But the 10mm is going to have a larger wound channel just by the virtue of being bigger around.

Be it noted. If your preferred defensive round is a .32ACP, I'm not to critical. Any gun is better than none, and a half-dozen hot rounds from a Seecamp is going to be quite effective in most cases.

Never having shot anything larger than a 9mm Largo or a .38 Super in .356 diameter, I can't say what the recoil "bounce" on a 9mm Dillon would be, but it would probably be almost the same as a 10mm if loaded to somewhere near the max velocity. Pure speculation on that part, but I have a tendency to think that larger boolets make bigger holes, all other considerations aside. YMMV.

Beyond that, if you have good shot placement, the .32ACP will do good enough, about nine times out of ten.

Mensch works fine, though it's a bit rough on the brass. Not a problem if you don't reload. I love the velocity increase with the 16" barrel. Thing it would make a great wild hawg gun. But I like my TNW Aero carbine better. I don't have to take apart one of my 10mms 1911's to fire it and it holds 14 round Glock magazines compared to the 1911 8 round mags.
