    I have taken an AK 47 mag and after alot of grinding, and filing, I have made a mini 30 mag! It functions great, but If I ever come up with a stupid Idea like this again, SOMEBODY STOP ME!!!! I would love to post a picture, but haven't figured it out yet. Lil' help?

    Do you have any web space with your ISP? That's often the easiest answer. The next easiest answer is a hosting service. Something like photobucket.com might work for you.

        That thing functions well you say? Mmmm... Do you have any more detailed pics of what you did to it to make it fit?

            My camera isn't the greatest! Let me tell you how I did this. First you have to grind off the front hook (bench grinder and dremel) Then grind the sides ALMOST flush(failed the first attemt). The feed lips are to thick for the bolt, so they too must be carefully ground (dremel). next your off to the lug, (measured local off other mag) this was of coarse an e.german mag so the rib hasto go for the mag catch. grinding lug then testing. next is the feed lips, widen the center just enough for the bolt to slide through. I shortened the lips both front and rear till closely resembled other mag. next measure hole location for locking pin and drill. alot of filing and fine tuning (blood sweat and tears.) took it out to the field and all 30 went through. by the way I used a Tapco plastic AK follower so the bolt won't stay open after last hoorah!!

                I get on these so called impossible missions, and I won't give in until victory!! yes slap some sense into me but my next mission is a mini -14 that accepts AR-15 mags! me and my buds need the Impossible challenge, so stay tuned for the next stupid thing that I will think of...

                  Some one made mags that would fit both AR and Mini. Ramline or ButlerC. perhaps?
