  • Ruger P85 Facelift

Picked up a couple of Ruger P85's a while back, one was a little scratched up. I once had a P89 that was all black and really liked it, so...out came the Duracoat today. Found the correct factory box, mag loader and owner's manual for it on ebay. I can relax again, all is well with the world. I've often wondered what people did the with the factory boxes. I rarely get a used gun that has one.

I like the two tone black and gray, all black ain't too bad tho... One thing, WHEN did Ruger's P's become collectors items? Saw a few at my last gunshow, prominently tagged "Rare, no longer made" so be prepared to bend over should have been added.

I hear ya. Ain't just Ruger pistols though. I see the "RARE" tag on lots of things that ain't rare. I guess some folks think that something will sell better if they take his "EXPERT" word for it's scarcity.

They are all "rare" if you look at it right.
