  • FN SPR bolt stuck down

I just bought a FN SPR (early model) which is basicly a Winchester 70. After some lightening of the trigger, the gun fired on its own and now the safty will not move from the fire position and the bolt cannot be lifted. I took the stock off again but nothing seem to unlock the stuck bolt. Anyone have a suggestion?

I took it to a gunsmith, Imbert & Smithers in San Carlos, CA, and they fixed it and adjusted the trigger to 3 lbs for $50. I am now happy with the gun.

I adjusted the trigger too light and it slam fired when the bolt was closed with no bullet in the chamber. The gunsmith said he had to take the trigger apart.
