  • Alumnahyde 2 over Oxpho blue ?

I bought a couple flash supressers fron Nodak Spud, they are in the white. The Oxpho-blue did not give me the results I wanted, too "flashy" and not dark enough.
Without removing the oxpho, can I spray the alumnahyde 2 on them. I planned to spray them down good with carb cleanr, than hot-hot water, and let them dry? Than apply the alumnahyde?

The Oxpho Blue shouldn't have any effect one way or another.

Degreasing is the major item, and it would be even better if you could bead blast to give the metal a rough "tooth" for the coating to bond with.

After the hot hot water, I'd force dry with a hair dryer or whatever to get them dry before any rust can form.

If you can't sandblast it, try a light buffing with about 600 grit emery cloth. And I agree on the degreaseing process first.

That's good enough to get the finish to stick, I'd think.
