In case someone is considering one but is afraid they don't work too well, my 21" Special Purpose has now gone over three thousand rounds without a problem. Most have been light field loads, shooting clays, mixed in along the way were approx. 150 buckshot and 50 slug loads. As for parts wear, it seems to be just getting broke in, the action has smoothed out quite a bit. I've wiped the gas system down twice and cleaned the barrel five or six times to remove unburned powder and plastic from wads.

I know the gas rings break from time to time, it just hasn't happened to you yet. We get them in te shop all the time, and keep a lot of rings in the back, 'cause that's usually all it will need to be fixed. I would stock up on a few if I were you, other than that they are great shotguns.

Yeah, I work at a gun shop part time, and we do sell them. Mostly get them in used however, due to the trend being Benelli and Beretta and such these days.
Personally, I do not own one, but have had one before, and to be honest with you, it was a good gun, but not for me.
They are great shotguns, you won't regret it, just mind those gas rings, check for cracks, etc before all of a sudden the gun no-worky. Those rings are truly the weak link in the gun, and I believe Remmy discovered this, that's why they went to the 1 piece replacement ring as opposed to the dual rings.
