  • MAC reviews the B&T US Army Subcompact Weapon System

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JIqxLTBS5M

Pretty decent video on the B&T US Army Subcompact Weapon (9mm subgun).

The Army bought a few hundred of these. I guess it might buy more in the future. If it doesn't though, then it's pretty much never going to make it into supply. So it's hard to say if the Army is actually going to use these or not. But some have been bought and it does have a .mil ID.

It's cool the gun can take different types of mags by changing the lower. Obviously, if I bought a semi version, I'd go with Glock mags.

It barely won against the TAC-9

I'd like to see some in depth reviews of the TAC-9. The original wasn't a very robust weapon, but maybe it's been beefed up. I dunno.

just making a sarcastic attempt at humor

        nothing more.

that aside, the TAC-9 lacks nostalgia, that (in my random opinion) would have garnered more sales

as for the new military carbine, interesting - but not exciting

I'm not sure how much nostalgia there is for the Tec-9. But I also think a lot of you are looking for reasons to hate the aluminum lower and AR pistol grip (despite the AR pistol grip being better).

You say it doesn't look like a Tec-9, but then there is this:

          some people will always complain...

Ya the stuff on the website apparently is just early prototypes, probably built with stuff they had laying around. The new pics are from the latest pistols. These still aren't exactly like what will be released, but apparently are getting close.
