  • Remington 1100 magnum

Anybody have an idea what a Remington 1100 Magnum(says that one the receiver) 12ga is worth?

Looks very good to excellent bluing and overall with the exception of someone putting a sling swivel in the butt stock.

I've only seen Remington 1100's with 2 and 3/4" chambers before this.

wow....never knew......but this is waterfowl territory....adjust up from basic bird shooting stick prices....my thoughts start at 500.00 +....really depends on local markets though....

I had one that Refused to cycle low brass shells or a magazine loaded with a mix of shell lengths.

          I'd rather have a pump.

Just ship it to me, I will send you a nice crisp $100.00 dollar bill.

              Re: Remington 1100 magnum

With the advent of the 11/87 with its improved gas system, including better regulation and parts made from stainless steel, 1100 shotguns took a nosedive in pricing. A really nice specimen might bring $300 at best. Since steel shot is required for ducks, a fixed full choke is not the best choice, steel shot will eventually erode the choke so that you'll end up with a modified, not full choke. The "killer" for me is their lack of versatility-they do fine with magnum loads, some not so well with lighter loads.

                Re: Remington 1100 magnum

I picked it up for $225. In a non range shooting trip(in the woods after finished deer hunting(carrying a muzzle loader) it shoots and cycles low brass dove and field loads fine. Cycled everything I put through it. Slugs 2-3/4" and 3" in the side of a tree I can make one big hole from multiple shots.

I have a 2-3/4" 1100 that was my grand fathers and I love the way it shoots so I decided to get that one.

At $225 you did well with your purchase, especially since yours is one of the rare ones that will cycle lighter loads. Congrats!
