I knew it would not last long.

I would like to know 'where' they dug that stuff up.

I don't know about the other services, but the Navy we only shot .22 LR in boot camp.

My father was in the Great Lakes Naval Training Academy, class of 1941. They shot rimfire with the various bolt-action trainers (Remington 514T, Mossberg 44US).

The CMP still has Aguila .22 LR left, but they have increased the prices.

Well here I am a day late and a dollar short. I was considering springing for 2 cases. Then I saw the first post. 2.24.2012 Ratsarue.

It weren't no 5,000R 22 for $90 but 2 months ago my LGS had Federal bulk 525R CHP about $31-32 or .063R. I took his last 2 boxes. I think he said he'd gotten 20 boxes in. The 2 I got were his last 2. I've been going in there about a year. Never saw any 22 till about 2.5 months ago. He had made a sign for his front door. This was my 2nd 22 ammo purchase since last March 2013.

              Bless his heart.

The shop I'm referring to was called Morgan Creek Outfitters. Across the street from Oliver and Hammer. They went out of business maybe around Feb 2017. I went to walk inside and it was some crummy furniture store or ladies craft shop. They had some nice handguns but they did not carry Bersa.

Ammo has been priced right out of my ability to afford it.

Damn! Almost three years since I posted this.

And the CMP STILL has no .22 ammunition.

                Per their website:
"Prior to 2013 CMP received deliveries of truckloads of ammo within a few weeks of placing orders. We are now being advised, as in the case of Aguila .22, that it may take several years to receive all of the 35,000,000 rounds of Aguila ammo we have on order."

They do have some of the usual calibers in stock: http://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/ammo-parts-accessories/
