WWII ERA BAYONETS. Sometime mid-morning on 29 Nov, 2010, the CMP eStore will list all our WWII era M1 model (10") bayonets for sale. The listing will include M1 and shortened M1905 series models. These bayonets will also be available at the CMP North and South stores beginning 1 Dec 2010. $65 per bayonet w/scabbard with FREE S&H if ordered in 2010. Please see the M1 Garand page for descriptions and pricing.

M1D ACCESSORIES COMING SOON. CMP has acquired a relatively small quantity of accessories for the M1D sniper rifle. Accessories include flash hiders, cheek pads, scope mounts, scope bags, and M84 scopes. All of these items are used and graded and priced based on condition, which ranges from good to very poor. Please see the M1 Garand web page for details. Items may be purchased through the eStore “Parts Surplus” tab beginning mid-morning on 29 Nov, 2910. Small quantities will also be available at the CMP stores beginning 1 Dec, 2010.

NEW IN WRAPSPRINGFIELD ARMORY BARRELS. Wrapped in cheesecloth and covered in preservative are now available for purchase. The few we have unwrapped and inspected are short-chambered and required reaming to headspace. Manufacture dates range from 1952 – 1955. Barrels are sold in the wrap, so we will not be able to select by the date of manufacture. See the “barrel” tab on the CMP eStore for details. Price for these barrels is $125 if ordered in 2010. Item number is PS01.

WINCHESTER M1 GARANDS STILL AVAILABLE. The CMP still has a small quantity of Winchester M1 Garand rifles for sale. Please visit for details.

M1 CARBINES SOLD OUT. The CMP is now sold out of M1 carbines except for the few we will still be selling on our auction program. At this time, we have no reason to expect to receive any additional quantities of carbines.

CMP LOGO RIFLE HARD CASES. Until inventory of these cases is exhausted, M1 Garands will be shipped in one of these cases at no extra charge. Cases are MADE IN THE USA for CMP. Case is made of GI green molded plastic & features a patented PillarLock system for extra strength and crush resistance. Each case is custom molded w/ CMP logo on each side. Interior foam rubber is of special dimensions to hold your rifle extra snugly. Case also features four black contoured recessed latches, padlock points, steel hinge pins& a molded handle. Case is large enough to hold one Garand, 1903 Springfield, 1917 Enfield or a 1898 Krag rifle. These cases are also available for purchase. See item PC006 under the Equipment & Accessories tab on the eStore. $30 + $10.95 S&H.

ESTORE CREDIT CARD CHARGING. Currently, CMP does not charge credit cards until a few days before actual shipment. This applies to eStore orders also. We had expected that before the end of October, we would be able to modify our eStore to automatically process the order and charge the card at time of order. This would result in eStore orders being shipped within 1-2 workdays after order was placed. Unfortunately, we still have some issues to resolve and now expect to not go live with the charging until January 2011.
