anyone bought anything from kalashnikov USA?

    They look interesting to me.

Apparently they are connected indirectly to kalashnikov concern (saiga).

I've personally never bought anything from them, but I know several folks who have.

I haven't heard anything seriously negative about from them from anyone. Were I in the market, I wouldn't hesitate to go to them.

    FWIW.

A friend who is very knowledgeable on kalashnikovs is high on them. Apparently they are indirectly connected to kalashnikov concern (Russia).

I'm not looking for anything at this time but they will be at the top of my list.

The 9mm ak looks great but I already have a couple 9mm carbines I don't shoot. I think a 9mm carbine is a better fit for an urbanite. There is no real benefit for me vs an intermediate cartridge for me except possibly ammo cost.

        image_1261.jpg I'm thinking harder about the kp9/kr9.

Basically it's a semiautomatic clone of the Russian Vityaz. Like a krink in 9mm but different.

        Positives
        very reliable
        same controls as an ak
manufactured by a company with connections to kalashnikov concern.
100% made in the USA so no 922r issues.
        available as pistol (kp9) or rifle/carbine (kr9).

        Negative.
magazines are compatible with the Russian Vityaz but nothing else.
Potential future problems for manufacturer because of connections to Russia.
Everything is hard to get right now.

So I could sell my tec 9 and magazines. Add a little cash to it and buy a kp9.

        Any opinions?

I'm learning towards the pistol. It has the sidefolding hinge already installed pistolA.jpg

Go for it, just make sure you will be able to get at least 2 or 3 additional magazines for it first.

Have you thought about the PSA AKV. It takes Scorpion mags, has the last round bolt catch, and comes in similar flavors. You can buy three or four Scorpion mags for the price of one Vityaz.

I have considered the psa akv but would prefer the kp9.

I was going to get the Pistol and sbr it however. These came along and reminded of decades ago with the Mitchell imports.which i owned a few of those

so figured bring back the past since future looks bleak. by the way they are outstanding....but by all means if you want pix509109868.jpg a 9mm go for it and since they worked out the early problems with them. you should have a great little firearm there.Krink
