  • I don't think some folks should wear their Religion on their vehicles.

For your consideration and some discussion. It's gone through my head before, but it all came together today.

I'd gone into Wally-World. The wife needed some stuff, and I wanted Salad fixings for tonight. So I went and got. I decided I needed gas on the way out, so I hit the Murphy Oil station attached.

It was pretty well full. I pulled in behind someone pulling out, and the vehicle pulling out had to hit his breaks about halfway out because there was someone going flying by. She went by, he pulled the rest of the way out, and I pulled up to the pump.

It's a good thing I wasn't out of the vehicle yet, because the woman who went flying by tried to back in to the pump I'd just pulled into about the time I got the engine shut off. If I hadn't been in the vehicle and hit the horn, she'd have backed square into me.

Actually, I thought it was kind'a funny, but she was purely annoyed at me. Apparently I'd stolen her gas pump, and she was waving her hands at me. She looked angry. (Me not care. She can be angry if she wants to be. No skin off my hide.)

Anyway, I filled the truck up, washed my back window, and pulled out. I got behind her leaving.

I could tell it was the same vehicle. About a 2005 or so Ford Exploder, white. She's got a Jesus Fish and five bumper stickers proclaiming how much she loves Jesus and how much Jesus loves her all over the back of the vehicle.

And she sure doesn't drive like Jesus has anything to do with it. I followed her about halfway through town until she finally ran a stoplight in front of me and got gone. She can't drive for crap, and she was being aggressive about not being able to drive. Halfway into the turn lane half the time, and almost hit someone....And so on and so forth.

Which is why I don't wear my affiliations, either Religious or Political, on my vehicle. If you want to convince me you are serious about your Politics or your Religion, don't wave them in my face from your vehicle and then act like a total azzhole on the road. That just makes me think that people who support (Ron Paul, Hillary, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Bernie Sanders, Our Lord, or whoever...) are complete buttheads.

Be it noted, I say this as a Born-Again Evangelical Missionary Baptist. If you aren't prepared to live up to it all the time, you probably shouldn't set yourself up as a rolling advertisement for it, I don't think.

    Just saying....

I don't mind a sticker or two. But faith is a personal thing. Jesus knows who his own are, he doesn't need a sticker or fish symbol to identify you.

Although, I must confess as "Latter day Saint" I did find a license plate on a mini van I saw once funny as "Mormons" have larger than average families. It said "Mormon assault vehicle".

We are told to spread the word. To some, I guess, that is there way of doing so. But agree do not be a hypocrite in doing so.
