Never heard of such a creature. It'd be interesting to find.

Guest started a topic A "Sourced" Bible?

    A "Sourced" Bible?

Was talking to a couple guys in the break room today and I heard about it for the first time.

Either a comprehensive massive volume, or several volumes of the most "known" of the ancient Bibles. Heavily footnoted and referrenced.

The main feature is the recognition of content that has been changed over time (showing each change and source if possible), content that has been added (especially if done for political reasons) and content that has been omitted.

Id's parts that come from previous religions such as Judaism, and older content revised by newer religions. Concerns itself mostly with the early Hebrew, Greek and Roman writings. A separate section is devoted to the Church of England, what changes were made and why.

This sounds like what I have been looking for all along. I did a bsic search and couldn't find anything and the info I got from the guys at work was sketchy.

Does anyone know about this? Anyone know where it can be obtained?
