Maybe I am not the only one who reacted that way.
First off, some background. I will drink me some beer on occasion, or even in the absence of an occasion. One of my Mantras is that life is too short for cheap beer. Such being the case, I buy a couple of six-packs of good beer every week. However, this attitude runs contrast to another of my Mantras, which is that after the second beer, they all taste the same anyway,
So, after buying a dozen or so bottles of good beer, I also buy a brick (30 Pack) of some generic something or other, to stretch my funding and not waste good beer when I ain't tasting it anyway. Over the last 10 years or so, I had settled out on either Bud Ice or Natty Ice, depending on what was going. When one is in a Dry County and about 25 miles from the nearest Beer, one stocks up for a week or so at a time. It saves Gasoline, and Algore thanks me for that one.
The point being that I keep a brick or two of "inexpensive" beer around so I don't sit and suck up three or four bottles of $2/bottle beer. It's also good bait for drawing company. My kids and eldest Grandson all know that Grandpa will feed you some beer if you come see him. I might even send two or three home with you if you are out,.
Bur the fallout of the whole "Tranny Fluid" Bud Light thing? I no longer buy Busch/Inbev products. I'm back to Miller Hi-Life, and not supporting the idiots.
Based on the buzz on the 'net, I ain't the only one.
