I am sorry that I will not be over there for the one year anniversary. It was pleasant to meet all of you and get a touch of Alex one more time. I am working contract jobs, as I was last year, but thankfully it put me close to pay last respects. The other Marine who was his roommate worked in the same building as I did at the time, right around the corner, although I never saw him after that.

Funny story, Alex did recommend the building where he was at for me to stay also, to rent a "cube" for the night and it did sound intriguing. But I was nervous since it was post 2016 election and Antifa is certainly active in the Portland area. I certainly relished at the chance to listen to him more, but he was never there, so I located closer to work at another rental location for my temp job. The price was right, $200 a month for a cube, shower in the gym, and sleep in your car (with security) but I never would have gotten to see him since he was busy elsewhere.

May Almighty God watch over and protect you and keep you from harm. May God's messengers thwart any plan of harm or wrongdoing and keep you safe. And finally bring Alex's murderers to certain justice. In Jesus' name we humbly ask.

With this said. The funeral was opened to eulogies and remembrances by friends. At this point I also wish to have Alex speak for himself. Recently Alex's last post was reposted. Note the topic of that post. Note the subject matter. I know that my son's last moments was filled with the horror of the extent of the betrayal he was facing. I am not the only one to feel those last moments.

I talked to the private court-appointed lawyer that represented Alex. His style was to have morning coffee with the prosecutor and obtain admissions. When I told him the news he was hushed , deeply sadenned, and fearful. He told me quite the opposite of the usual "shut yr mouth and get a lawyer". First of all this needs a lawyer with prosecutorial experience. I was advised to see various authorities myself. Was told how to approach. I very meticulously went through my son's last effects (what was not stolen, and that is quite substantial, and the thieves are known, including addresses, left by my son after doing background checks). Much became evident. Alex did two videos on the Saturday before being killed Monday morning. An aside, he mentioned in an opening that he was growing his hair out but probably wouldn't get to ponytail length before the end of the summer. He spoke of the murder of MIchelle St. Pierre. He told me a month previous he was getting heavy duty threats from a certain party about this.. When I told an orthodox Jew about this, he was horrified. In Portland not one person, NOT ONE, believed even for one second that this was a suicide. I was quite surprised at the quarters from which this sentiment came. That being said, one can understand the fear shown by many.
Everyone understand this, I was born in a Nazi slave labor camp the day it was liberated. This was the camp where the doctors actually were doing their experiments, experiments in what was called "human enhancement", the early work in what became later known as MKUltra as many of these doctors were brought to the U.S. to continue their work. My mother had killed a highly placed Nazi occupation officer on her first mission in the Armia Krajowa (Home Army) at age 17. Timer getting short.

I have been meaning to post several comments about my son's death, the first being about the timing of the shooting, 8:30AM. The timing is noted for its serendipity, or is it purposeful synchronicity? The shooting took place in city of El Cerrito, where I also last worked as a public high school teacher for the West Contra Costa Unified School District also the scene of the triggering school walkout at 8:30AM, November 10,2016, in protest of the election of Trump as POTUS. El Cerrito police, instead of doing their job, simply put out a warning to motorists to "look out for students in the streets".Please note that the trigger for the walkout was Berkeley High and the high schools of the West Contra Costa Unifies School District walking out at exactly 8;30 AM, 20 minutes after 1st period started. 1st period attendance triggers the ADA money from the state for attendance, not to speak of staff being paid. Teachers must allow 20 minutes for tardies to be included. At 8;30AM walkout occurred. Students, admin, and teachers went to the streets. Calls went to Oakland and San Francisco immediately. The trigger was puled. The rest is history. And please note that the same district teacher unions contributed money to Antifa. Is it any wonder that I was declared a "political enemy" because I signed papers to not have my union dues used for political activities, aka given to the Democratic Party. I was friends with the union director who told me that they report to the feds that only 3% was given. The actual number? Add a 3. One third of dues was going to the Party. Understand what is going on here. The Spanish Civil War began at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, a pre-planned and organized event. The walkout of November 10, 2016 at 8:30 in the morning was just as preplanned and organized. Note the pics from disparate parts of the country that day, same preprinted signs everywhere. The Donald states that we are one election away from civil war, no matter who wins. The time has come. My son and I knew this for a decade. A true story here: back ten years ago right around the 4th of July, I had this strong dream. In it the spirits of the American war dead came before me and told me that they died fighting for our freedoms; and that because of that there was a blood debt. As long as we kept our freedoms that blood debt would not come due. However, if we gave up our freedoms, that blood debt would come due to be collected. At that point a great American Civil War would occur, one in which the dead would be as many as in all the American wars since the American Revolution combined. About 3 months later I went to Ukiah CA to help my best friend, a Captain Clearlight of clearlight fame. He was a Korean War air force vet, 216 IQ, who repaired the wing electrical damage in shot up B38 Stratofortresses. Later in late 60s CIA MK Ultra recruited him. We were celebrating his 78th. Present was a father/son with their instruments. When I recounted the dream to all present, including an Indian veteran of Second Wounded Knee the eyes of the father got very big as the son said "see,see". As it turned out the 20 yr old son had had the exact same dream. An old wisdom warns that when the young and old have and share the same dream watch out. BTW that father took an oath that he would never surrender our freedoms; he would fight. Folks, the time has come.
After what I saw around my son's grave at the Portland National Cemetery I vowed that as long as I am alive I will come every Memorial Day. I was livid at how people ignored the Vietnam vets. That's another story for later.A young woman came by with questions, interviewing me and recording. Alex and a Vietnam Marine vet buried next to him, both have the Semper Fi. On the 4th July their graves were only ones with remembrances. I was sadly surprised at how few people showed up for the 180,000 buried there. Well Alex & Nunnamaker had a party. Want to note that Persian Gulf War vets are being buried, most are in mid to late 50s. Alex was the youngest. Later.

When ones Shot card was mentioned there was some deja vu there for me. I came home with mine but don't recall seeing it for a long time. My training had me on world wide status. One of my inoculations protected me from Beri Beri.
