Yeah - you gotta love German gun laws and german enginieering companys doing a good job.

Besides the MP 38 and MP 44 now the FG 42 is their new project!

Wow, quite a project. Sure to warm the hearts of Falschirmjaeger everywhere. Wonder how many are studying import tactics now.

I love it but there are no US parts made to import these. We have "freedom" you know...

Those are sweet. I'd be all over it...$4000 is a bit high, but I do have a big bonus coming up later this year...

I would sooner spend 4k on something that exclusive than a Barrett or fine shotgun.

Follow that us link. If it ever said that the price was $4000, it went up. The cost is now $10000 including shipping and excise tax.

I wonder what excuses our lovely alphabet guys will use to exclude this rifle from importation?

This is Not an import. It is made in the US. Price started out to be around $2k, then $4K then $8300 and finally $10K. I was among those who were going to buy one, even when the price jumped to $4K, but when it went to $8300 I was one of many who said the hell with it!!!
I don't know what has happened since then as I haven't kept track. They were only going to make 3 or 400 of these and then whe they sold switch to the 2nd model, which they already had mfgr approval from batf for.
I seriously doubt that they have sold, or possibly even made, all they originally said they were going to.

10G is a little high. This puts this rifle into the CheyTac, DSR, Barrett neighborhood.

Default Re: FG 42 New manufactured.........

They may also be manufacturing the second model soon. What next?, the Walther MKB42?, the STG45?, Volksturmgewehr?

I love this design over the Haenel version, Nice stright foreward layout and less bulky.
