Talking Knob Creek

Anyone else going to go? If you see a short bald guy milling around Old Sarge's it is me. Feel free to introduce yourself. Should be a great time. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas.

Talking Re: Knob Creek

A great time was had by all. Except I could mortgage the house before I went there and I still would probably come back broke.

If you had been there and seen how down hill it has become, you would understand.

With the rising ammo prices and scarcity of cheap surplus ammo, the firing line is now more breaks than firing.

The once plentiful cheap parts and kits are also GONE. Still a good place to look for REALLY scarce parts, but you WILL pay for the privilege of buying them.

I was at the second one and made at least once a year until about 5 years ago. Since then it has become a fun to go see old friends, but not a mandatory twice yearly shopping trip it once was.

I've been once 9 years ago. It was fun then. I camped and got stuck in the mud like everybody else did that April.
The weather was great all weekend till the last day. Just enough rain to make the parking area a mud pit.
I'd like to go again, but if its died that much its not worth the 24 hour drive.

I am only 4 hours away and find it a hard time justifying the trip. If it was 24 hours then I would pass and use the money to buy what I needed on the internet. Between the competition from the internet and the lack of being able to import cheap gun items, Knob Creek is more a name than the event it was.
