Icon28 Bullets are getting expensive.

I ordered two boxes of Hornaday XTP 9mm 124g, and two boxes of 6.5 Swede bullets today. Total, with shipping, expended a whole $100 bill.

Oh, well. Better to have it than to need it and not, right?

The annoying part is that I set out to order some XTP in 9x18, and they were already out of that, 24 hours after notifying that they had it in stock.

But I got me some boolets, which is always a good thing.

I've pretty much now got all the fancy bullets I need. I'm going back to ordering the plated Berrys, or Rainer, or Montana Gold, or suchlike by the thousand.

Other than the 9x18, of course, which I still don't have any of.......

That's why warning shots have been eliminated at this household.

It's what I claim they got if I missed the first time.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

If you like Gold Dots Jake has some pulls in stock at a good price. http://www.shop.rmrbullets.com/9mm-355_c12.htm You can ask him if he has a source for .363 bullets.

I got some of his "seconds" plated .45ACP bullets real cheap. Couldn't find anything wrong with them except some slight discoloration/spots on a few. And I mean a few out of 1k.

Last 100 30 cal 150 grain soft points I bought cost me 27 bucks and that didn't include shipping. Hunting only, 100 bullets would last me five years but trying load for SHTF it gets dang expensive.

"if you wanna play you gotta pay".

what I find funny and I LMAO at these people, are the ones who own macine guns, then they whine and cry about the cost of ammunition.

I've always said that F/A weapons sound really fun, if someone else is paying for the ammo. If I am, they sound really expensive to play with.

I'm the guy who could burn up $100 worth of ammo in a day back in the late years of the last millennium, when it was still dirt cheap.

Nowadays? I don't think about it when I'm at the range, because it would probably spoil my fun. The rest of the time, I just keep buying more ammo and components, so I don't have to think about it at the range.

I used to think a Chinese MAK was good for one thing, a way to burn up cheap Chinese ammo! Never did manage to destroy one but wasn't because I didn't try. I recall we were paying 58 bucks, wholesale, for a 1400 round case on strippers. Now those stripper clips are going near a buck each.
