Question Question......7.62-59

Got a can labeled 7.62-59. I'm sure I ordered 7.62x54R as I've never seen a -59.........what gives? Thanks!

google fu spit this out, circa 2011 - Sportsman Guide

Quote:
Genuine 1960's era Czech military production Ammo, with 147-grain silver-tip match bullets... full metal jacket, steel core boattail style. Berdan-primed in steel case. Mildly corrosive, non-reloadable. 20 rds. per box. 780 rounds come in a sealed steel case inside a wooden crate. Ammo boxes may be incorrectly stamped 7.62 x 59R. Please be assured that the ammo you will receive is 7.62 x 54R

I have a couple cans of the Czech ammo, accurate, but the lacquer melts easily in a hot breach and causes jamming.
