Default Whole bunch of new Ruger revolvers

http://ruger.com/search/new/revolver

So many models being introduced and re-introduced. I suspect that this is due to sales slowing down. They were probably too busy cranking out the popular models during the Obama years to mess around with more variations.

I love that 7 shot stainless GP100 with the old style grips.

That 5.5 inch .357 Redhawk speaks to me. I had an old 6 shot model(and miss it) . The 8 shot calls to me...as does the 4.2 inch .327 SP101.

You know, even a 4.2 inch SP101 in 9mm with a six shot/moon clip set cylinder would have me interested.. I lie the 8shot Redhawk for much the same reason I liked my old six shot 5.5 -overbuilt to the point of being able to handle Elmer Keith Levels Of Hot Loads...and,it came from an era of milled frames.. I know that the SP101,like the GP100 is investment cast...do you know if they kept the original manufacturing techniques for the Redhawk or did they switch to investment casting for that too?

They have NEVER switched from one process to another. That I can guarantee!!!

....

Having said that... all Ruger guns since 1953 have been investment cast. There may have been a few made prior to that which weren't, but all the guns Ruger sells today have always been cast. There has never been a milled/forged Redhawk, GP100, Blackhawk, Single Six, Super Blackhawk, Vaquero, etc... Even the ones from the 60s and 70s were investment cast(and plenty of those are still around...).

If Elmer shot a Ruger revolver, he shot a cast steel Ruger revolver. I have never heard of Ruger revolvers being weak and I strongly believe that the cast/mill debate is overblown by a wide margin (at least with steel products). Yes, forged steel is a bit stronger, but that's why Ruger revolvers have always been heavier than S&W. If you want a forged gun, go S&W. If you want a Ruger, it will be cast.

That Talo back packer 44 mag. looks darn nice to me that I just picked up looks like built like a Tiger Tank. and can handle heavy loads.

Man back packer Heavy loads I'm starting to sound like some Porno flic.

The Ruger 44 magnum is a nice gun been away from them for far too long.

This one can cure Cancer.

S.S. there is another company that just brought in Galil kits in 7.72 and also new Micro kits, They had them for sale at SAR show this year, that place was Kit central this year, And actually saw people buying them.

I guess they plan on building in future or to have many spare parts.
Even saw M-16 kits and some MG-42 kits. Seems like some all had original factory barrels also. which was some older ones versus new that they imported in past five years.

after awhile it got boring. Because it seemed every table had one or two. Even Rhodesian FAL kits, a fun time was had by all.

Ruger is on my Grinch list this Christmas.

I love the GP-100's, but I really wanted a seven shot .357, so I bought myself a 686. And now they come out with the seven round GP-100. Dorks. I'd have taken that over the 686 in a New York minute, if it had been around.

Not that there's anything wrong with the 686 that needs fixing, but I just like the weight and balance of the GP-100's better. YMMV.
