FedEX DELIVERS!
My local FedEx driver said they were very busy this Christmas! I hope your driver put you at the top of the list! Temporary pic to satisfy the CMP addicts until you get YOURS up! ![]() An HRA from Camp Perry. |

So, my little brother was late getting presents but he ordered a new Nikon Digital camera to replace this crappy one. I'll take better pics when I get it.

![]() Anyone who is serious about real rifles has to have at least one Garand. Say what you will about them, but they are not only seriously historical, they are, in fact, a very functional battle rifle, even today. A real rifle, that shoots real ammunition, and will reach out and touch something at real distances. As long as you can stand to carry the weight, you can do just about whatever you need a rifle for with a Garand. There aren't too many that I'll say that about.

Not to rain on your parade, but the FAL and G3 have been doing it for 50+ years too.

![]() Yeah, it still works, and all that. But it's downsized from the real rifles. A Garand isn't. ![]() ![]()

Carried and qualified with a Garand in '59-'60-'61...
Also carried a BAR. THAT thing was heavy. Have my own Garand now.

Finally, FINALLY took the Garand to the range, Loaded in a clip of 8 Greek Surplus and aimed dead on at 50 yards, all shots about 6 O:Clock. Couple of clicks up, I'm killing the x ring. Good fun.
As to what took me so long since I got it, let's just say bad stuff was happening. Radiation and chemotherapy schedules kind of tying up everything. Today was the first chance I got. Last edited by gandog56; February 9th, 2013 at 06:37 PM. |
