  • How does one remove Google Chrome from a Nook?

My dear wife has a Nook that she uses mostly for net surfing. She was running Firefox on it, mostly because that's what she's used to.

She somehow managed to get Chrome onto it, and it won't go away.

Yeah. Google is evil, and they prove it to me regularly, but whatever....I can't get the flipping Nook to lose it. I don't know much of anything about the Nook anyway, but I'd even wipe it and start over if I could.

There aren't any books on there that aren't backed up on mine, so a complete wipe and reconfigure would not be a totally bad thing......

I hates me some Google, but my wife hates it worse.

Anyone know how to get it wiped?

If you want to remove it from the device only but keep it available for a re-install, long press the icon and then choose to archive it.

If you want to nuke it from orbit, log in to your bn.com account in a web browser and look at your "my library" and delete it there.

What I've found works well for deleting things, is a free program called Revo Uninstaller. It allows you get all the way in and dig up all the left over junk that is sometimes left behind.
