  • Feral cats a big problem down-under.

Feral cat impacts on native wildlife leads to construction of world's largest fence Go big or go home! Thanks to the Australian Wildlife Conservancy, our country will soon boast not only one of the world's largest fences but also Australia's largest feral cat eradication project, through the development of the Newhaven Wildlife Sanctuary, approximately 350 km from Alice Springs. The aim of the sanctuary is to conserve native endangered species, such as the Mala (currently extinct in the NT), and keep feral predators out. It will cover at least 650 square kms (65,000 hectares), with the first stage of the fence being 44km in length. Well done to our friends at AWC for helping to stop extinction of endangered species within the Sanctuary.
