Shrike 5.56 owners: need a cheaper option for your nut sack?

Do you have a Shrike (MCR) and do not want to drop the $140 for the Ares (FightLite) nut sack adapter? Well, there is a USGI option.

This is the Ares/FightLite adapter:

This is the USGI option. It is designed for the M249 SAW, slides into the mag well. You will need to cut some meat off the reinforcement bar so she will fit into the M16 mag well but works. Offsets the nut sack to the left. Works nice with the 100 round sack. The 200 sack and box may be a bit clunky.

Found them on FleaBay and Gun Broker. Price seems high now. I'd feel much better at $25 a pop but it is not $140 so I will stop crying.

Another question, will the Shrike upper work on those single shot lowers that don't have a magwell?

Seems to me that you could have lowers with no magwell broach cut trimmed down and permanently set up with the nutsack holder. Seems like if someone is trying to run a dedicated belt fed weapon with a registered DIAS, that's the way to do it.

Ares made a lower that did not have a magwell. I am not sure if it is the same as you are referring so I cannot say for sure. I would almost says yes as the single shot lower must have clearance for the BCG to operate.

I have a mag well adaptor for both of my SAW 249's.In fact they are dressed up like G.I.JOE action figures now.I posted pic of one for a guy via e-mail and he said is that a airsoft.

And I said yeah sure goofball. He was looking at the blue cover cap on the barrel and cocking handle.. Krink protects his shite.

So I told him go educate yourself on what is out there. And next time you won't sound or look like a chooch when you make a comment on something.

On the mag adaptor nutsack. you can have it hang closer in instead of the bottom.
but I also have the D60 Magpuls also. Which work great.

Adult toys you can't be without them.

Tried mine out last week. Works well. Required some additional machine work but nothing a file and a beer was not able to cure.
