I have a Springfield Garand, ser.# 3,126,xxx, very nice Service Grade. Could someone tell me what the lettering means on the elevation knob? How is the sight calibrated? It looks like it starts at 120yds, then 200 and I can't read anything until 600/800. The markings are just not very clear even with a mag. glass Can't remember how to zero the rifle. Other than that, everything is crystal clear. Taking Dad to the range this week-end to shoot this rifle, an M-1 carbine and my new Hi-Power. TIA.
