My experience with Izzy ammo is it often tends to be loaded hot. I have seen double cycling in HKs, AKs.

I know a lot of israeli ammo is made by Sierra here is the good old USA. I don't know the headstamp but from what I know about the Israeli military I would think it would be very good stuff.

I learned about Sierra making ammo for the Israeli's when I took the Sierra factory tour in Sedalia, Missouri. If you ever gt the chance, do it. It is free and quite interesting.

I got some tarnished Izzy 18 onths ago and aside from a little dirty, it's accurate ammo.

Apparently, some batches were 'bad'... but if it's IDF approved it should be top notch.

Israeli Q3131A is good stuff, equal to M193 ammo here at home. As far as I know it about as good as Lake City ammo (which I still have an unopened case of in the den...Ammo conservation is a good thing...)

Frankly I don't think any of it is much better than PMC's 55 grain FMJ ammo. Except maybe for the waterproofing the LC and M193 rounds go through. (Some of them)

I soaked a round of LC in a glass of water for a week, and it still went boom at the range. Guess I should try that with PMC....

For comparison sake,

I chrono the WInchester Q3131 M193 is 3150 fps from my 16" 1:9 twist Bushmaster,

The WOlf Chrono at 2750 fps ! What a big difference.

These are average 5 rounds on a 75 degree day, on a Shooting Crhony Chronograph.
